About us

History of the Firm

The firm came into existence approximately thirty five years ago when Lucille Rosenstock partnered with Robert Lowe and decided to devote their practice to adoption law. Suzanne B. Nichols joined the firm about seven years later, after which, the firm became known as Rosenstock Lowe & Nichols. In 1990 Ms. Rosenstock became the first Vice President of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys.

After joining the firm, Suzanne spearheaded its expansion from a domestic adoption practice to include international adoptions. She began by working with foster homes and orphanages in Hungary and Ukraine. Suzanne traveled extensively throughout Hungary, Ukraine, and Moscow in order to meet with government officials and to lay the ground work for the adoptions by families in the U.S. and Europe. Reflecting Suzanne's international efforts, in 1991, Ms. Rosenstock was appointed by the U.S. State Department as a member of the United States Delegation to the Hague Conference's Special Commission of Intercountry Adoption.

In the early 1990's, sadly, Robert Lowe died suddenly. Lucille eventually became Of Counsel to the firm and remained in that position until her retirement from the practice of law in the late 1990's. At about that time, Andrew T. Nichols, Suzanne's husband, became her law partner. Andrew is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida as well as in New York and New Jersey.

The attorneys and staff take pride in maintaining the high standards of professionalism and personal attention to it's clients that has guided Rosenstock Lowe & Nichols for forty years.
